CarbonMods Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Hi folks, I've just got back to the PMs. Paul, your wings are ready for delivery just as soon as your misses get's the bacon on ;-) As for the cycle wing group buy this should now have been wrapped up (one board member didn't want his until November so we've still got that set to get out) with everyone who signed up originally having either got their wings or dropped out (maybe didn't calculate on their wives finding out ;-) - If you think you've been missed out then we might have had trouble tracking you down or working out who you are from the scraps of paper littering the desk - please give us a shout!! As for the aeroscreen or dash - there's not been anything official set up on those. *We're* not allowed to set it up for obvious boardroom rules so we can only respond to what customers like Paul arrange (so don't think we're ignoring the board there's just quite a few things we can't say). What I will do though is take the oppertunity to say thanks to everyone who's got involved in this and other threads - you guys have pretty much kept us in business this year and we've enjoyed it enormously!! scott beeland Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Matt. How d'ya fancy sorting an aero that will cover scuttle holes left behind by winscreen pillar fixings? Could offer my V8 as a template car Quote
CarbonMods Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Mark - we will absolutely be doing something next year, like most companies in the industry there's no Veyrons on our car park (just yet) but we will certainly channel something towards supporting WSCC. We've been treated fairly and appreciate the oppertunity. Scott, my favourite solution (something that we've still not turned into a reality) is an interchangeable aeroscreen/windscreen assembly that would mean the misses will come in the car (please, no rude jokes!) on a summer's evening without you having to sacrifice your times on the track at the weekend. There's a little bit of engineering involved but if the demand was there this is something we'd like to do. If it was just a revised aeroscreen to cover the holes in the scuttle then this too is something we'd be happy to look at, again, if the interest was there. Thoughts? Quote
scott beeland Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 There's probably a market for both ideas somewhere but for me personally I've gone back to a screened westy for the 1st time in ages...And the novelty has worn off.....I wanna go back to Aero....but I wanna ensure all the pillar holes are covered so it looks right. Keep me informed; and like I said I'm happy for my car to be used for design. Bit late for getting my ex missus in the car now though Managed it once in the legendary "Boghouse" and it still makes me giggle today Quote
