lukeyboy Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Lukeyboy, what wheels/tyres are you running? - Joe's westy in the pic was running (now replaced) 13" wheels and narrow 175 tyres. The large wings dwarfed his wheels, we just put them on to give an idea of scale. The large wings are for 15" wheels and ideally, wider tyres. If you're running 15" then they should have the right gap. If you're running 13" then you need to go for the small wings. I'd be happy to do the mudflap material at any size you want, we make it is square meters but can cut it to any size. To get an idea of price just half, quater or whatever the price and then add a fiver for hassle ;-) 195 on 15" I'm more for looks than weight..... shallow I know, but I want it to look good Looking for close fitting, rounded edges / nice curves Just want to see some nice phots to convince me they'll look good Quote
Darrell O'Neill Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 ANy progress on the dashboards? I'd be interested for a wide bodied one... Quote
CarbonMods Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Hi, Yes, westfield dashboard with ears is done! - We've sent a couple out today, I'll get some photos on the site over the weekend when we get back from Anglesey. We've added a nice aero screen too and already sent a couple out to people in the group-buy so hopefully some pics will appear on here soon! I've got a list of those who expressed an interest in the westfield dash as a spin-off group buy so I'll be in touch over the next few days to arrange payment and delivery. I'll see some of you tomorow for a beer! --Matt Quote
COREdevelopments Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 hey matt, how do i go about payment for the dash with ears, im in need of one asap. for locost type car. also maybe interested in the aeroscreen aswell, would like to see some pics first. atb rob Quote
CarbonMods Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Hi Rob, For the dashboard with ears check with us on dimensions because the one we're talking about here is designed specifically for a wide bodied Westfield. That doesn't mean it won't fit a locost but check with us first. I'll PM you with pics and details of the aeroscreen which are going like hot-cakes! Quote
Evo,s 7SE Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 ive recieved my stuff good quality gear could you pm me pics of aeroscreen for a narrow in carbon please cheers keith evans Quote
NICKBS Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Hi, Just got the aero screen and GXR cunnards from Paul at carbon mods. Good service and good finish. Slight problem with sizing on the aero screen I need to speak to them about. But it fits, looks great and is well priced. Also I got some carbon fiber 'rubber matting' (the best way to describe it) for the arches. This comes with double sided tape and sticks well (if you clean them properly beforehand) just requires some simple cutting and shaping. Oh and you need some aero strips for your helmet! and I chose the SPA formula mirror which are very nice. All for less than a similar aeroscreen product I have seen See picky Quote
higgsti Posted August 27, 2007 Author Posted August 27, 2007 what your problem with the aeroscreen nick fitted one last week to dans car no problems but yours looks like its high at back edge.your csr cannard angle looks a little shallow too Quote
combatsapph Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Arghh! I spend ages looking for a carbon "bubble" aeroscreen, couldn't find one so bought one a couple of months ago. Now someone comes out with exactly what I want! Starting to see a pattern here. Quote
NICKBS Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Problem looks like it is in the cutting of the front edge it 8mm shorter on one side. So when I line up the front edge with the bonnet the return lip around the dash does not line up. I have used the existing wiper washer hole as a fixing point so that is why the screen look a little high. Anyone have a 2nd hand scuttle? I spoke with carbon mods and I need to get a few photos to them and then we will see what can be done. Quote
higgsti Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 we had a slight problem like that when we fitted dans easily sorted with one of the files they sell think it was due to trying to cover wiper holes more than aeroscreen .think the nature of these cars there all different.could you not take some out of the return lip that touches the dash so the screen would go further forward and hide ya wiper holes Quote
DavidC Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I've ordered the aeroscreen today (I hadn't spotted this thread yet) after seeing the photos on the site. How much is the boot cover? Ooh, and where have you hidden the wires for that centre brake light, that's a cracking idea. Quote
