DIY Si Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Is it so obvious that you would have to do something about it? IE could you try and balg it for the SVA, then fix afterwards? Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Mike you did not pull the engine and gearbox togeather on the bolts did you? Seen things like this happen when people have had difficulty with clutch alignment and screwed it togeather and not get the engine to fit tight to the gearbox first. The other thing I did on my Zetec car was fit some dowles to the engine as I dont think they have them on the Zetec normally. Quote
Mike Lloyd Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 Engine and gearbox are dowelled (using pegs from a sierra lump) and all located ok before bolts were tightened (it is a while ago but don't remember having too many difficalties with this). Is it normal for the bottom half of the bell housing not to be connected to the block / sump Quote

Al Yupright Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 The dowells weren't too long and bottomed out? Quote
