funbobby Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Been looking at a few Jedi's BUT is it true that you cant use them on track days because they are open wheel? AND Can you fit Cycle wings to them to get around this? Quote
Terry Everall Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Most circuits will not allow open wheel cars to run I think nearly impossible to fit cycle guards Buy my Busa and be just as quick Quote
peterg Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yep, sadly it's true, the only time you can run singleseaters are at Test days.... Best bet for that kind of experience on a track day are Radicals etc Quote

M11 BRD Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Been looking at a few Jedi's BUT is it true that you cant use them on track days because they are open wheel? AND Can you fit Cycle wings to them to get around this? The only track days I know of who allow open wheel sessions are at Aintree through LMC, but to be honest I use the local outdoor go kart tracks which are quite happy to allow me to go around in between kart practice, and £10 for an afternoon cheap as chips. The Jedi's narrow enough to go round and alway's draws plenty of interest Very cheap track time Quote
funbobby Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 Aye it would be great round Teesside Autodrome - but not quite the same horsing round the track with JeffC and Co.... Quote
Al Yupright Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Grey area at the moment. There is a new kitcar called the MK-Sprint that is a cycle winged single seater and that has been allowed on normal trackdays. So whynot a proper single seater with cycle wings? Quote
funbobby Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 Alright Ed - hows tricks mate? By the way the needle on the stack dash mysteriously snapped in half (and is sitting inside the sealed) unit at Curborough at the weekend. Brought a smile to my face while sitting on the start line like. Will be contacting Stack as that shouldnt happen! Other than that the tangerine tornado performed very well mate! Again. Cheers FB Quote
