ACW Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I can only offer a public apology, and offer only remorse in what has been a difficult time for everyone for the recent loss of boardroom access. Unfortuantely the wscc.co.uk domain was registered many moons ago with a company that I dont use. two years ago I believed that I had sucessfully moved this domain to a company I use for domain registration, however I never checked this had been done. The net result was that the original company tried to contact me, by an old email address, and dince I didnt respond eventually suspended the domain which they did on Friday, just as I was lodading my trailer for curborough. Thankfully Andy Hawkins let me know of the issue and on friday the domain was re-paided for, but the company in question dont have an automated system, so we have had to wait till this afternoon for them to re-instate the domain. This resolved the problem till 2009, however in the mean time I will transfer the domain to ensure this doesn't happen again. For info the DNS for wscc.co.uk, continues to be held on my own redundant DNS servers. This was never the issue, just that Nominet had suspended the actual wscc.co.uk domain. Quote

daverobs Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 TFFT I thought I would have to rebuild this machine on my own. Thanks for your efforts WebMaster Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 At least it wasn't me closing the site this time I've got the opposite situation. A UK hosting company appears to have charged me for a domain I don't want. I have the domain (www.TheOldCross.biz) and they have charged me for www.theoldcroos.co.uk. I had told them I didn't want it but got an invoice over the weekend. I'll have to wait and see if a card is charged. Anyway, being closed for the weekend will make us all appreciate the forum even more. Quote
CedricTheBrave Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Nice of them to suspend it on a friday I bet they had a laugh when they pressed that button!! Quote

greenandmean Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I can only offer a public apology, and offer only remorse in what has been a difficult time for everyone for the recent loss of boardroom access. No apology needed in my opinion Adrian, it may make us more aware of all your efforts in keeping the boardroom going. Quote
