As Jack is now 3 mins from my House in Dromore, it would have been silly not to leave the busa round with him. Just lifted it last night after mapping... well pleased with the result.

We did get talking about turbo conversions...  3 hours later I wish we hadn't started  ;)

So how much are we looking at for a typical Holeshot turbo system on a BEC?

They used to do a Busa turbo conversion for £5K - i.e. you take them a busa BEC and they will turbo charge it and provide everything needed. Don't know if they still have this offer though as I think it was a promo at the time. It may even have got cheaper now, dunno....

They will also convert a CEC to a turbo'd BEC if you want and their work is top class.

If you're interested, call Holeshot(0283 882 0026) and ask as that's the best way to get an accurate estimate.

If the phone isn't answered, it will be because they're dynoing something and can't hear it so call back later or email them at info@holeshotracing.co.uk

Bazzer: 2004 1300cc Busa motor, Mitsubishi ***T019 turbo, 8 injectors, full monty motor with everything nice that can go in(internals good for upto 550bhp), full billet clutch with locking pressure plate, Pace dry sump, electric water pump, laminova. Quaife reverse box, 3.14 diff, ZF LSD. Runs 1.5bar of boost so makes a good bit of power. And, even if I do say so myself; it's a pretty sweet install

On the electronics side, it's sub-optimal, with a busa ecu running stock injectors and a piggyback ecu running the additional injectors. If all goes well, this winter I'll redo the electronics with a decent ECU and have antilag, launch, traction, logging, as well as an integrated shifter/dash.

I'll be at the Avon Park RWYB event on 14th July. If you're there, introduce yourself if I don't come sniffing round your car first.
