Steven (WE51STE) Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Hi, I'm currently building my duratec engine and I'm using the Jenvey throttle bodies. The TB have the injectors in them. However, this leaves holes in the head where the original ford fuel rail and injectors went in. I've spoken to omex who I purchased the TB off and they are sending me some plugs to blank out the holes. They have suggested I can either glue them in or I can fabricate a bracket to screw them in with. Which option would you suggest I take ? If any one has fabricated in the past do they have any templates ? Regards, Steve Quote
Glen H Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Although I don't have Jenvey's, I did speak to them direct at one of the shows about a the same and they said that you could buy them from them and just push them in as they are a tight fit and not actually under compression load - so gluing seems the easist solution Quote
CedricTheBrave Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I squashed mine a very small amount and tapped them in with a small tapometer. they seal fine and will not be coming out on their own. a small amount of glue will be fine just make sure it doesn't get affected by fuel Quote
dibbly Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 The plugs I used were, as already mentioned, were a very tight fit so i am relying on this to hold them in. To be sure though and to make sure there wer no air gaps, i used a bit of RTV sealant smeared around the edge, seems to work ok.... Quote
