Hmmm wow some varying comments there. I thought there might be.

I assume they have done some upgrade round our way because some posted flyers advertising VM is what started this off. I havent seen any 'digging up laying cable work' so it must be on the original cable.  ???

As with all these places, if all goes swimmingly then you'll have no issues.

I expected that. Nice to hear that if everything goes ok the service is good. But...

If Virgin works OK then it's fine but if they get your bill wrong, change your package or the BB stops working due to a fault then you may as well get ready for months of problems.
They went back to BT in the end.

This is what I didn't want to hear. I thought talk talk were utter ****e, these couldn’t possibly be worse could they, sounds like not far off from Steve_m and Slippy's experiences.

Hmmm. What to do.

Thanks again for all the replies.

ps. I am only interested in phone and BB not TV,

Just put my mother back on total BT package after 2 years of grief with talk talk and pipex......look for the £30 BT rebate for new customers...

BT's basic package is pretty cheap for a years contract and if you want all the bells and whistles up to the vision side of things there are offers on that too....

bear in mind the exhorbitant 0870 'customer disservice' lines with most of them - if you have to call them your bills will orbital - at least with everything BT they cant blame anyone else and the service lines are all 0800 freephones...

they may still know jack ****e but at least it is not costing you pounds to explain it to them...

once it works leave it well alone..

as for mobile coverage - get the one that works where you need it ie where you live and work....i've had avodaphone for 8 years and never had a signal at home and struggled in a few offices i've worked in.....T mobile works everywhere for me
