Thank you all for coming and for the positive comments - nice to be out on a dry run. Even  though the  traffic got in the way in a few places  there was still the opportunity for a bit of "foot down" and "test the shift light"  on some lanes.

Good be out with other cars too.

It was Mrs Hammys first long distance outing and we both enjoyed it. Piccies are excellent, ours were a bit rough, so i'm not posting them! .... any  chance of mailing me the originals- [i'd like to send one to Gary for his monthly "report and put a few in my album ]  ?    

I've been looking at a shorter run from Ashby south - The  B4116 to Coleshill is a good road and often quiet as it  parallels the M42; with a suitable return path it could be a good 60miler.

Finally....  Nice to see new faces in Scubajess  & son from "up North"-  that Vauxhall was a nice fit in the narrow body, most  impressed with that....

Looks like a good trip out guys and the weather was good too, well done to all.  

Makes me want to get my car running now, plus, its decided not to start again
