scott beeland Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Genuine paypal emails always address you by name. If it says "dear paypal member" or similar...Do not click onto the link. Report it to ebay and let them investigate. Quote
adhawkins Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 This old chestnut again. Been doing the rounds for years. As has been said, never click on a link in an e-mail like this. If you must check it out, type the address into your browser. Andy Quote
Norman Verona Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 If you right click and look at the source you will see the real web site address not the one displayed on the email. They're always scammers. What gets me is no one can shut these sites down. Am I going over the top in expecting the UN to get together to police the net for these things and shut the scam sites down so quickly they become ineffective. Then they can satrt on the virus spreaders. After all, they can arrange mass destruction very easuly. Quote
Buzzer Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 yep had this one 6 months ago, do forward the e-mail to paypal for them to be aware of Dave Quote
