looks like it has some nice gauges in it too    :)  :)

in which case it probably isn't a low line.

Looks like a car that's had a cosmetic update in the last few years. The grey vinyl up the side almost certainly conceals the holes where the clamshell wings were bolted on before being converted to cycle wings. Before it was whacked it would be worth £5k tops. At £1100 - if the chassis is straight - then it'd be worth buying IMHO. Beware though that red gel coat fades badly and the chance of a new nose being a good match is slim. Best get a contrasting colour like black to match the wings. As it's a xflow it probably skidded on it's own oil slick   I've got an XI. I'm allowed to say things like that...

It *looks* to be a low-line from the picture.

Not that it is an issue, because it is likely to be a hi-line soon :D

i would also check steering rack and front wishbone mounts.

i would say its worth 1100quid, but im not sure much more than 2k.  a cheap crossflow can be got for 4.5k.

I asked this question in the Technical Help section a few months ago and Mark said  that the Low Line body (nose and bonnet) is no longer available. However John is correct, the high line nose and bonnet are, or at least should be a direct replacement... even if they do look a bit 'sausage like'.

The sausage droop snoot group... :p

Agree with Bananman - looks like left front arch has took a knok, you'll be supprised how well well figreglass stands up against a knock  - I destroyed a trye wall on the track and did less damage to the nose than that.

Best to put a fine straight edge (spirit level / rule) angainst the chassis rails to make sure its still true - a knock on the wheel can often twist the chassis round slightly at the front (speeking from experience) not neccessarily always a new chassis but certainly some attention.

Many thanks for the advise guys, I'll take a day out and go have a look, if its straight and doesnt get too costly (it's up to £1300 now) I'll have a punt on it.

I wouldn't worry in that case, in my opinion it went for far more than it's worth in current state.

For not much more money you can get a decent narrow body with a xflow/cvh/pinto without crash damage.  :)
