V8grunt Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Hi All. As some of you may know wife and I are of to Normandy, France, to run our place as a B&B this summer. I didn't want to go thru the rigmarol of taking the dish down and putting it up in France as we are coming back every 3 to 4 weeks as wife has to have regular blood tests! So if any one in the East mids has got a spare one I can buy please PM me. I don't mind taking the Sky box back and forth. Just need way of carrying the 80" LCD! in the car... Just kidding it only a 32" er. When I work out how to do it I will be putting a "Clicky" on my page to link anyone interested to my web site... www.aplaceinnormandy.co.uk it's now live but needs more photo's which will soon be added. Thank you "Tigger" for your help and also Kev Roper for hosting it.. Didn't realize that by typing the www. page in you could click on it! Just need a way to get it on permanent. Quote
V8grunt Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 Dish may possibly be to small as I am near the edge of the satellite area I think,(Correct me if I'm wrong!) I would prefer a "Sky" dish if possible, as I know this has worked in the past. Cheers Quote
Mark Stanton Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Andrew The Le Clerc at Vire was selling some cheap small receiver boxes good enough for BBC etc A standard size dish should work - Maplins do a full kit for £59 used by plenty of tuggers all over europe and can be permanently fixed Quote
davew Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Everything sattelite related here http://www.sateuropa.co.uk/overview.asp?catid=1&subcat=2 Quote
Mrs Westy Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Will a 60cm dish do? We have one which worked perfectly well for us for a year in Switzerland. We're nowhere near East Mids though and it'll probably cost as much to courier it to you than to just buy a new one. Dishes are much of a muchness, it's the LNB which is the important bit. Quote
