chrisinoxford Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Gents. The ford M16 brake clipers are they all the same and do all sierras use this type. I am going to order some second hand from 247 spares and need to quote the car they are from. Thanks. Chris. Quote
stu999 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Sierras dont use M16 calipers - if you are using Sierra uprights you need the Sierra calipers to suit. The M16 calipers were fitted to Cortina Mk3/4/5's, which just so happened to be the vehicle that traditionally donated it's uprights for Westfield builds. Quote
chrisinoxford Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Stu many thanks i thought the sierra calipers fitted as well as alot of ford parts dont change throughout the years. As it goes i have cortina uprights so i guess it is M16's for me. Now to find cheap ones, any ideas? Chris. Quote
stu999 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I have a couple of sets I could be tempted to part with... I have just taken a set off my car. Plus points are that I can guarentee that they are not siezed ( ) - but they have been quite hot, so the outer dust seals have seen better days. To be supplied with with some half worn Ferodo DS2500 pads (fantastic compound). Interested? Quote
slippy Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 eBay is normally a good start mate HERE or there are companies that do light weight/high performance direct replacements Quote
