neilwillis Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Yep, top weekend. I think we did the marque proud. Though the shreddies on Perksy were a little past their sell by date! Quote
Swiss Jeff Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 A superb weekend and so good to put faces to so many names .............. but maybe not such a pleasant experience seeing other exposed parts ................ A stoneleigh weekend is like making love to a beautiful woman ............... with a suitable erection on the camping grounds to ensure full satisfaction throughout and plenty of supplies for the weekend taking care not to burn your pork sausage on the BBQ and maintain your stamina at all times provides an enjoyable and stimulating time. Hope to meet up with everyone soon Quote
Pilot Pete Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Does that mean certain parties know the identity of swiss himself? Quote
scott beeland Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 A great Stoneleigh weekend. The car build was great and the team worked very well ( Build photo's will be sent to Mark Stanton/ Julian Turner ASAP when I've had chance to look through them) Had a great chance to talk with Julian and Frank Turner and enjoyed their company as they got fully immersed in the evenings proceedings. The nights party was possibly the best we've had to date and I was really made up to get a tankard for long service to the WSCC cause If we hadn't been give our orders to call it a day at 3 am I think we'd have still been partying hard at 5!! Thanks everyone....Thanks especially to the girls for my special present See you all again real soon. Quote
Rob Marshall Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 QUOTE So who's gonna be brave and start posting "the" piccies Mark, I will look through my images tomorrow and see if there any that are suitable, ok legal that I can post It was an excellent event, shame I had to tow my Westie there, I am sure it will all be sorted soon. Bring on the next event, not sure if I will make Harewood, but I will be at Curborough Quote
kevredtop Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 yes a huge thank you to all. that was my first trip out with the wscc and what a night. got loads of pics of people but for some reason the missus kept to the lower half of peoples bodies. Quote
craig-c Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 First time staying over, what a good night, 118 & 118 had a good night, legs were killing me in the morning, we had a bit of luck in the morning walking over to get a cup of the black stuff and we found a C**erham banner resting against a tree in the middle near the Cobra's, so being good sports we are took the banner back, they was pleased to see it, and gave me and 118 a free go round the track in there car, A verry big thankyou to all who made the night a good night. chazpowerslide Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Yes, great weekend. Thanks to all those that helped to organis the event, again the WSCC outshon the other clubs by such a large margin I bet they wonder why we are so successful. Fantastic to be in such great company, great atmosthere and a lot of fun on the build (apart from the ammount of noxious gasses in said atmosthere around the build area on Monday ) I had the opportunity to have a chat with Frank and Julian during the build and think that they will have a huge positive impact on the marque. It's also good to note that the factory seems genuinly interested in fostering positive relations with the club and this weekend made a great start. Chaz. Quote
cast iron Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Good show for Westy the build certainly seemd to keep the stand busy and must have been a great PR coupe for Westfield. It was quite funny that a stand not too far away was claiming it only took 29 days to build a Toymota Ferarri Shame we just arrive to late for the presentations to Messers Stanton and Beelend, but a good night was had by all Quote
Gavin Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 What an excellent weekend, firstly thanks for letting me join in with the build allthough I took a step back a lot of the time and let you more experienced guys at it as I have never built before, allthough I did learn a lot, especially which way around the feed and return fuel pipes are Was only the second time I have stayed over and I am sure there will be many more, the company was excellent and it was nice to put some faces to boardroom names and join in with the WBDC. Well done to Perksy and Mark for being great sports the y must have been bl**** freezing. Made me laugh when someone said " Mark must be f***ing nuts he even took his socks off"!! Also would like to say how good it was to meet Julian and Frank and I am sure after having listened to Julian's talk that Westfield has a brilliant future and his taking over and wanting to link more to the club can only be good for us. Well done Julian and it was great to see you join in with the party and even wearing a scouse wig !! Hope to see you all soon guys. Off for another celebration now, 30 years today, have lots of beer to drink. Quote
Emma Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Thanks especially to the girls for my special present You are most welcome!!! I got lots of people coming over just saying "Yes" - it confused me for a while!!! Quote
carpetstu Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Thanks to all for my first stay over at stoneleigh. The bits I can remember were great and as for the bits I can't i apologise to all for what I might have done while pi**ed out of my tree A big thank you to Stu and Mel for supplying my breakfast, due to me coming without food after spending till 2am Sunday morning getting my car back on the road for the trip down. An not forgetting Julian and Family for their hospitality too and the large quantity of beer they supplied and I consumed. Once again many thanks to all. Edit - I have inherited / pilfered someones wig - if they want it back let me know please. Quote
