I would do it tommorow Mr C - they look and sound awsome. XTR4 is the choice I would have thought.

Pro's - loads - Cons - speed bumps.

Dare you.

Driving at XTR4 is like making love to a beautiful woman -  takes under a minute from start to finish.

The radicals are nice but check out the price of parts... it's hiddeous.

Radical for me, but you already knew that ;)

Get a clubsport, have someone to "race" against then :)

i like the look of the XTR2 and the layout but it is heavier than my Busa and uses same engine.

Body is more streamlined but on trackdays I dont think ,even with a wing fitted etc that they are any quicker.

The Radical is a great car and you pay big bucks for a good one.

Many have been thrashed in races

Not very scientific, but I have been on track with two different XTR2's (on ACB10's) on track (Oulton Park), and the cornering speeds/ability of the cars there at least was awesome :t-up:

Until the one scattered fiberglass all over Dears Leap after spinning it on the exit :0  :(

Hi Jeff.

Have you looked at the Lynx AE LR1? ;)  ;)

If you go to their web site they have a bit of video footage of their motor, and it Foo-king flies!

Failing that "Google"     DP1     and make him an offer! :p  :p  :p  :p

Ive never been on track with an xtr but last year I chased a radical round Croft and that was a peg up from me, I tried to match its pace through the jim Clarkes and nearly ended up in darlington  :0  :0  :0

braking was so much later I noticed also.. I can only imagine the xtr will be on the same lines with added downforce..

one I was blasting with was a 1300cc and Out the hairpin and  first 3 gears I was as quick but after that I struggled  :D

One thing that did concern me with the xtr is the price and availability of the body parts. read some threads today on chain failure and it smashing casings  :(

radical SR3 - or a crossle... both awesome motors jeff.. how about a jedi single seater running a yamaha R1 motor - there is a race series for them.. they are all bike engines and not that expensive..

Jeff,

Like most things it depends on your budget, but have you considered a Juno. They arent cheap but will beat radicals depending on the engine fitted. They are doing very well in the V de V championship at the moment and beating most things out of sight.

The entry level comes with a duratec engine but the chassis has been designed to accept anything up to a Jag V6 engine.

The car is designed and built in Preston by an ex Williams F1 engineer Ewan Baldry.

Search for Juno racing for the webs site

They are pushing the fifty grand mark new but the earlier cars are becoming available a bit cheaper.

I could arrange a visit to the factory for you if you were interested.

I must admit a Radical would be my next choice of car.........

There's an article on them ( explaining the range ) in this months 'Circuit Driver'.

There is a SR4 up for sale on racecarsdirect.com - £17,995, sounds too cheap to be true....looks like its got a few wins.....

2005 Biduro Championship Winning Car

2006 Biduro - 3rd Place with Novice Radical Driver

3 wins in 2006 plus many podiums

plus a few bits with it

Three sets of wheels

Spare set of Dampers

Passenger Seatbelts

plus many other spares!!!

Sounds tempting :p    :p

I would look at a 1000cc/600cc Jedi if single seaters are allowed on track days, some use the 600cc engines too which are still quicker than a busa seven, so engines are very cheap as they're not generally used in kits.

I've seen complete cars advertsied with spares, several sets of wheels etc for £10k at the end of season, even if it needs a new engine, rad, suspension refresh, tyres etc it's still not going to cost you more than £16k total.

sr8
