its a couple of grand for mapable ecu / distributless ignition...and then dyno

its about 4k to take a good 4.6 up to 4.8 with stage 3 heads to get 300bhp

and then ...you need about 10/12k for a 400bhp special

Mine isn't an LS engine it's an old school small block built with a dart racing alloy block. With full steel internals rated for over700bhp

John Eales Developments can get the following out of a 4.6 Litre lump, no problem

242bhp @ 4000rpm

285bhp @ 5500rpm

238lbft @ 1000rpm

303lbft @ 3000rpm

As Barry says, the main advantage is the torque.
