RobK Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Our narrow bodied westfield has adjustable suspension. We think it is set at the lowest at present, for road use we are hoping to lift the back by 5-10mm if possible. One reason is the tyre is catching the wheel arch. Not sure what type these are, questions :- Are they adjustable? Does it need a special tool? Is it best adjusted with the shocker removed or is it ok to just take the weight off them and adjust with them fitted? Thanks, RobK Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 They are adjustable. You will need a 2 C spanners to adjust them as there are 2 locking rings locked together. It is normal just to take the weight of them to adjust them, but to be honest yours look like they want removing and a good soaking with penetrating oil in order to shift them. John Quote
JulianS Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Mine looked like that as well - not only was a soak required, but also some 'gentle' persuassion involving a hammer and anvil! Also, never really got it sorted properly, as having raised the height, I then had not enough 'travel' with a clonk on spirited cornering (sorry about teh lack of technical stuff) Quote
