Cost will depend on how much graft you put into it yourself.. Michael that owns this car stripped  it ready for prep..

I did the labour on this job as a favour  and cost to me for materials/ booth hire was around £200...

prob the best £200 to go from before to what it is now..

Ive had a few people asked me to paint their westys but my prob is I dont really  have anywhere to prep them... but this may change in the near future   ;)  :oops: I was painting cars daily from 1988-1997 so going back to do it now I quite enjoy , but  doing them every day I think would sicken me quickly  :D  :D ..

Thats the guy that I served my time with (taught me all I know and I still know nowt  :blush:   ) he has his own independant bodyshop now , the overalls are likeley some he bought of ebay  :laugh:  :laugh:

I think it's the same colour as the new Ford Focus, 5 Cylinder turbo thingy! :oops:

They have the same style wheels as well! :oops:  :oops:

Tis "Electric Orange" we did one today.

Nice colour. Great article Jeff. I'm in the process of doing mine at the moment. Health and safety man would boot your  :arse:  tho, full face air fed masks only please  :D

Cheers Rich.. Its been a few years since Ive seen my airfed mask  :blush:  my pal was ripping the P*ss out of my spray gun also is 15 years old  :blush:  :blush:  he uses them gravity hvlp jobbies I had a go but the paint come out like porridge was as dry as ghandis flip-flops ..so I thinned down the Laquer and give it two coats instead of the One coat  :blush:

Yes indeed  you cant teach an old dog new tricks  :laugh:  :laugh:

That is fantastic!

Man, I need some money!!!

seeing all the difference stages etc. it does make me think twice about using a local paint shop, that I have no experience with.
