Norman Verona Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 That got me thinking. I started at the Main MG Distributor off Piccadilly in 1961. Then went to an Aston Martin dealer for 3 months Then a Vauxhall dealer for a year Then a Vauxhall/Rootes dealer where I went from shop floor to boardroom in 20 years. Then I stared a computer business from within the dealership and that more or less brings us to 45 years. So 4 jobs in 45 years, plus my own business since. Martin, it would appear not to be a problem for you so just tghink of the experience you're gaining Quote

Martin Keene Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 bu66er. been there once - not fun not sure what industry your in re- mech eng, but the contracting industry is going ballistic at the moment. had three rate rises in 10 months at our place. a lot more work than people (for the time being) My old man has a lot of contractors working for him at the minute, and he has offered a few of them permenant positions, which they have all turned down, because they claim they will earn less money. So he is going to have a word with them and find out how you go about getting into that game. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 QUOTE Mechanical engineering work required. Martin get yourself some AutoCad training/experience with Acad 2004 or Acad2007 and grab a "pimp" and solicit yourself "loadsamoney" Quote
