congorobot Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Wonder where the jump is? Might give it a go in the westy! Not! Quote
V8grunt Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 What fell off the front end? Apart from the Front end! Look out for a "Cheap" Subaru on E Bay! Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Its on the front page of this weeks Motorsport news, it was for an American tv show called stunt junkies, he jumped 52 mtrs. Marko Martin holds the 'unoficial' record with a 57mtr jump on the Ouninpojha stage on the Rally Finland (1000 lakes) in 2003 Quote
Martin Keene Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Jesus... Did he get flight clearance from air traffic control! Quote
Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Marko's jump was something else!!! He didn't have a down ramp to land on either. Seem to remember him saying something like "well the car was broken anyway, so i thought sod it!" Quote

On that subject, it is just me or was building a rally car out of a convertible a bad idea. I couldn't help but notice that in Marko & Michael's accident, and the other chaps (can't remember who it was now) that the roof seemed to split away from the car. Surely a proper tintop would have provided more protection? Not a lot admittedly with all that cage inside, but still... Quote
david.c Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I was more interested in seeing the landing ... Yep I thought they missed a trick there David Quote
