felters Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 P!ssed up with Victor Gauntlet of Aston Martin fame (well I p!ssed it up and he drunk orange juice) I used to own one of his old cars until recently - a Defender 110. Bumped into him at Goodwood (just before he died) where he was polishing a pre-war Aston. When I realised who he was I told him his old car was in the car park. He gently made the point that half of the paddock had belonged to him at some point... top man. Have a look on Wikipedia. Both older than me but John Cleese and "Lord" Archer both went to my old school. Found myself walking alongside Kylie just outside the BBC in London a few years ago. She's tiny. Her bouncer was the size of a barn door. Quote

M11 BRD Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Just remembered, worked for a company owned by Nick Mason, Pink Floyd drummer and big collector of exotic vehicles. Used to visit once a year, arriving by Helicoptor piloting himself. We had to put a make shift cross made out of sheets and pinned to the ground for him to land next to the factory. Top guy very approachable, and not up his own Quote

When I was born she expained to him that she had not named me after him. He very graciously but unconvincingly replied " No, no, no, of course not! No, no!" Quote

nlash Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Not happened yet but i'm photographing at a tribute evening in Birmingham this Friday, for Steve Collins ex boxing champion. I'm told by the event organiser that there will be a number of sports stars present although he didn't list everyone, McGuigan and Cooper will be there. Boxers with alcohol inside them... i'm not sure Quote
Robandcolin Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 In order of fame. I met Tiff needle at Goodwood Festival of speed one of his kids pumped into me he was complaining about driving later but never got to after that marshall was killed. I've met Nigel Mansel about 3 times. When I worked in Bournemouth Airport Joe Pescaully Guy with the Squeaky vioce asked me where the bar was. It was about 10am Suzi Perry came to my work to film a bit about black boxes. I went to Peter Lamont's (Production designer for Titanic) house to interview him with a mate. He let us hold his Oscar which are chuffing heavy and then invited on to the set of the next Bond Film. So while at the Bond set we decided to go straight to the bar and who was stood next to me ordering a drink only Pierce Brosnan. . I didn't manage to track down Hale Berry though. Quote
