Matt Seabrook Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Yep been out for a hot chocolate and about a 50 mile run. Sunny and not too cool in Cornwall. Quote
susser Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Went out all wrapped up. Foggy and freezing. Smashing fun. Just a little bit of my chin between the lid and the scarf got a bit cold. Good job I got the heater. Glad I haven't fitted the aeroscreen yet. Quote
StuartMackay Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I went out for a wee blatette yesterday, Paul, lovely clear blue skies...chilly though Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Thirty miles through the Chilterns. Woke up the Blairs in Chequers - if they were there, that is. Quote

That's odd If it's a T9 it might be the extension coming loose on the top of the 'box. Quote

Norman Verona Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 yes ed to add that I have a type 9 workshop manual. If you want a copy, email me and i'll return it. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Norman, Sir, I've just realised what makes your Caterham look, well, normal! The headlights are mounted lower than most C'hams' lights are, and it makes it look less 'froglike'. Given your domicile that's ironic. Quote
tex Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Yep, out Saturday & Sunday. Cold but great fun, just need to work out what I have done to the gearbox, as I can't use 1, 3 & 5............... my car did that on the coast to coast - UJ went on the prop (pinto - type 9) Quote

That makes a big difference both on height and visual impact Quote
Norman Verona Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Yes, to confirm, they are 5.25in headlamps. (Or is it 5,5"?) Can't wait to see what it looks like when all carbon. And, can I get it down to 500kgs. It's 520 now. Remember this is an Iron blocked engine. I could have spent £5,000 on an ali block and save 18kgs Quote
