volvorsport Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 £109 for the system , click on buy . one of the many things id like including a CNC plasma cutter , lathe etc im sure for larger parts you could build a larger insulated box and heat to the required temperature . Quote
pistonbroke Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I just chucked a calor gas oven into the skip It would have been ideal, I was trying to think of a good reason why I should keep it , was taking up space in the garage Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Powder coating at home...now thats the funniest thing I've heard in a while!! I can imagine your wives agreeing to that. Whilst back here on earth we'd just take items to a powder coater...then your house would be free of the smell, the gas bills wouldn't increase, there wouldn't be shot blast media, the coating powder all over the place and your food woudn't taste like a paint shop. Go on lads have ago, you'll soon discover why people just take it to a guy who knows what he's doing & with professional equipment! why not build your own spray booth and baking oven and start your own spraying as well! This why I love this club its always fun!! Buzz Quote
itguy Posted January 29, 2007 Author Posted January 29, 2007 Buzz, all of what you say is true if you were doing it in your kitchen!!! Thankfully I have a detached garage so can avoid said problems. Swmbo is already used to petrol smell etc so burnt paint etc can't be too far removed!! I've got about 15 individual items I currently need to either spray or ideally powdercoat so would be very handy. I am concerned about the potential mess though. Got to be worth a punt at 100 notes Quote
