Anyway, I'll kick off with 'The Spread Egale' in Hockerton on the A617 between Newark and Mansfield.

On a very cold morning on the river bank I once heard a guy ask another guy, "Excuse me mate, where would I find the Kings Head?" To which the other guy replied " On a morning like this mate, between the Queen's legs if he's got any sense !!! Well I nearly fell in the river !!

In the Peak District there's a pub called "The Quiet Woman" and the pub sign has a headless woman on it!
