funbobby
Me and Slip are going Rallying (Or thats our latest hair brain scheme) so we are testing the water for interest in the Tangerine Tornado, details from AlYuprights origianl advert below plus pics I can vouch for this car being a very well sorted and reliable motor we recently gave Mr C and co a run for the money at Elvington 10K and she's yours A unique car with a very high specification, built and registered in 2002. Has covered 6623miles since, on a 50:50 mixture of road and track. The car has been developed to be a perfect trackday car, with 100% reliability and requiring very little maintenance. The car has completed every trackday until the chequered flag at the end of the day – no early baths! It has been maintained and developed regardless of cost and time and is only for sale. I have a large photo-history of the build, trackday usage and development on the website westicles.net. In particular checkout the Build/Development and Events sections. This is a well known car, no skeletons in the closet, and I’d be happy to support the new owner with getting to know it. The car could easily be upgraded to a Hayabusa engine (a Megabusa), with parts available off the shelf from Westfield. If you’re thinking of buying a cheaper Megablade and upgrading it you will save a lot of time and money by buying this one instead!! . Chassis/Body 2002 ‘Mega’ chassis, supplied powder-coated and factory panelled. Lightweight bodywork in orange. Full lightweight T45 roll cage, FIA/MSA homologated. Best modification ever and worth £1000! Engine/Transmission 1995 893cc Honda Fireblade fitted in 2003. Barnett H/D clutch conversion. Electric water pump and automatic controller. Large additional oil/air cooler and thermostatic valve. Always run on synthetic bike oil, changed frequently. Unique one button operation electric reverse developed using parts from Caterham Blackbird. Powerful, reliable, lightweight and perfectly smooth forwards drive. This is another valuable feature of this car. Freelander Quaife ATB (limited slip) differential. This saves a lot of weight over the sierra setup and costs £1750 from Westfield! Very large repackable silencer fitted. Independently noise tested at 92dbA, so all UK circuits are accessible. Beware of bike-engined-cars, many of them are too loud for most UK circuits! Wheels/Tyres New in 2004, Caterham anthracite 8spoke wheels with Yokohama A048 tyres. These wheels/tyres have covered ~3 trackdays and a handful of road miles and so are in v.good condition. Front Suspension T45 widetrack wishbones with camber adjuster, newly fitted in 2006 with new nylon bushes. AVO pro-race rose jointed dampers, newly fitted in 2004. Bespoke Anti-Roll-Bar. New balljoints fitted in 2004. Outlaw 4 pot aluminium brake callipers with PAGID RS15 calipers. Westfield aluminium uprights and hubs. Quaife 2.2 (without lockstops) Quick Rack. Rear Suspension Standard Westfield Seiw. Overhauled in 2004 (shotblasted, re-powder coated, and new nylon bushes). Bespoke Anti-Roll-Bar. AVO pro-race rose jointed dampers, newly fitted in 2004. Cockpit Stack ST8130 digidash (worth £1000) covers all instrumentation. Westfield fibreglass shell seats. 6point 3inch * 3inch harness for driver. 4point 2inch * 2inch harness for passenger. funbobby
Rallying a Westy would be cool but it would last no longer than a Sinclair C5 in the Paris Dakar. We just cant do it Ed - the Tangerine Tornado is to cool for school
