The only list 1A tyre that I know of in 13" is Yoko A539. Anything that is half decent comes in 15". Plenty of list 1B in 13" but 1A in 13" are now all virtually non existent.

I did my first full year of sprinting in 06 on 15" Toyo T1Rs.  Didn't have alot to compare them to, but seemed to be OK compared to most others as far as grip goes both in the dry and the wet (1st in class B for 06  :D ).

Ran these as at the time the regs for 07 looked like a Toyo only championship (how times change).  However, my understanding is that Scudo Stunners are the bees knees and that the latest incarnation in the Maragoni Zeta Linea is actually softer.  In my research neither the Stunner or Linea are available in 13".

Got my Toyos from BMTR in Brum as part of the Championship Toyo deal.  Done some searching on line for the Linea's but yet to decide if I really want to change (unless you want to buy my half worn T1Rs to give it a go and I'll get the new ones?)

You have a problem, as has been mentioned, there's not a lot out there in 13" on the 1A list. My only experience of this is the Firestone 'Firehawk' FH700 (or somesuch), which was really the only thing available. I had to fit 1A's to be eligible for the Aldon Championship in the Clan (stunningly gorgeous Imp-engined beauty from the 70's if you're unaware). 185/60/13.

The result was quite frightening, actually giving wheelspin off the line!!!!!!!!! That was not the only surprise either, they didn't warm up, the grip levels didn't change with any settings. They're still on a road car (my Metro), many thousands of road miles later..... like concrete.

In my opinion, worth nothing, there's more difference between 1A and A048's or somesuch, than A048's and slicks. Having just shredded some slicks though, those really hurt the wallet.

For 1A you really need the tyre choice available to 15" users.

Matt Seabrook (the VX horsepower junkie) is in the tyre trade, he'll be able to advise on choice I'm sure. I know nothing about the 15" scene, being 2" too small.

I think that's the first (and probably last) time I've seen 'Clan Crusader' and 'stunningly gorgeous' in the same sentence  ;)  :p  :D  :t-up:

Or admitting on this boardroom that they're 2" too small  ???
