I was there about twice a week (different times) and every time they had a game of cards on the go with a cuppa How long ago was that? When BMW 'sold' Rover to the P4, they included a 'Jobs for Life' clause that meant that the P4 were unable to make people redundant, knowing that while there were 6000 emplyees, they only needed 3500 of them. That's a lot more money on wages than necessary Quote
Swiss Jeff Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Driving a Rover car is like making love to an ugly lady when you're drunk .......................... you're grateful to hang on for the ride and hoping it'll stay in one piece till morning comes when you try and avoid the neighbours seeing you get out of it Quote
Ian Podmore Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 My MG ZT CDT has been the most reliable car I have had over the past 20 years, and much much better than my previous cars. Oh the last one, a nice German car, shame the battery went flat after between 24hrs and 2 weeks, gave up with in the end at a number of dealers couldn't fix it, or a lovely Vectra that shed teeth off the diff? The ZT is a great car to drive as well, and nothing has fallen off it either over the past 4 years. I'd consider another if they still made them and the engne had more poke. Quote
