Asterix Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Just in case I've not been obvious enough already, this is the contents of a spamscam email I received. In case it helps to protect others, here it is... QUOTE Dear Sir/Madam! We are a small and relatively new Software Development and Outsourcing Company specializing in enterprise application development, system integration, corporate networks and other software solutions for business and finance. The company based in Ukraine (Europe). We've earned ourselves a reputation of a reliable and trustworthy partner working successfully with a number of West European Australia and North American companies and providing them with reliable software development services in financial, telecom and media sectors. Unfortunately we are currently facing some difficulties with receiving payments for our services. It usually takes us 10-30 days to receive a payment from your country and such delays are harmful to our business. We do not have so much time to accept every wire transfer and we can't accept cashier?s checks or money orders as well. That's why we are currently looking for partners in your country to help us accept and process these payments faster. If you are looking for a chance to make an additional profit you can become our representative in your country. As our representative you will receive 8% of every deal we conduct. Your job will be accepting funds in the form of wire transfers and check payments and forwarding them to us. It is not a full-time job, but rather a very convenient and fast way to receive additional income. We also consider opening an office in your country in the nearest future and you will then have certain privileges should you decide to apply for a full-time job. This is an entry level opportunity in the field of financial services. Our financial professionals work with clients to help them achieve their many financial goals such as saving on taxes. We therefore solicit your assistance in remitting this money and facilitating transactions. If you believe you would be able to undertake such a task and are interested in this job, please respond to Eurosoftmd3@aol.com and send us the following information about yourself: 1. Your Full Name as it appears on your resume. 2. Education. 3. Your Contact Address. 4. Telephone/Fax number. 5. Your present Occupation and Position currently held. 6. Your Age Please respond ASAP and we will provide you with additional details on how you can become our representative. Joining us and starting business today will cost you nothing and you will be able to earn a bit of extra money fast and easy. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the address mentioned above. Looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Victor Drujkov, Director of Marketing Dept., Eurosoft Co. pgh Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Standard money mule recruiting stuff. The money that ends up in your account won't have been put there by people who had the right to do so. Problem is, people are stupid enough to fall for it Quote
Morbius Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Too right. What kind of legitimate business cannot accept cheques and money orders? Anything that involves wire transfers you need to allow at least five working days to clear to ensure that it does not get cancelled before you forward the money. Quote
cliveboy8 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Suggest you do what I do with these emails: send a reply and tell them to f**k off into a corner of their office and die. Quote

Westy1700 Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 WHY NOT HAVE A PLAY WITH THE SCAMMERS LIKE I JUST DID Henry, Thanks for the prompt response.. Can you please let me know the details of your shipper. I have a large business concern in the UK turning over several millions of pounds in the sale of vibrating toys (dildo) and we use a number of shippers and it may be that we share a common shipment firm or I could get the item delievered to them. I am looking for overseas expansion of my business and maybe you could advise of a agency thay may wish to sell my range of specialist toys..we are specially proud of our 8” titanium model – they call it the armouredildo. I would be happy to send you some samples if you could perhaps assist. Do I get this right – you are paying me £225 for the engine and collecting it? Thanks. Henry Henry, Apologies for the delay I have been rather ill of late and only just find time in replying to your email….The YS63 is surely a wonderful piece of engineering and a stunning example of how to produce awesome power within a model environment. The engine is in fine fettle having been lovingly cared for by myself and not abused as so many do. As I put in the advert, I hope, although I may have been silly and missed it off, the price is £125…that’s right just 125 of our british pounds for such an investment in power technology which is about half its new price…Shipping would be no problem for about £5 extra but as your friend appears to be keen to collect this would also be a good idea as I could supply some of the rectal fuel that I have used…I reckon I get about 2 bhp – no bulls*** !!!
