Pinto Temp Sender

I have recently bought a Westfield with a 2L Ford Pinto. The temperature gauge is not working. i have found the wire which needs connecting to the sender just dangling in the engine bay but cant find the sender!!

Where is it?  :durr:

Can someone help me????

It's on the nearside (left from the driver's seat) just by the distributor.

Might be bein totally thick here but thats where ive been looking and cant see it.

What should it look like?

Like a small threaded hexagonal stud screwed into the block, and with a brass 'button' that you slip the spade connector on to. It looks a bit Heath Robinson but it grips it well. Sorry, no pics to hand. Just look for anything near (<6") the distributor and that'll be it.

should be on the cyl head just infront of number 1 intake port, if it isnt you should have a big puddle  :D
