samcooke Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 QUOTE You have a bike engine and I assume list 1B tyres and your car is road registered am I right in concluding 998cc bike, tyres are 205 and 185 R13 A021Rs, don't know if these are list 1B but they're easily changed to other radials if not, road reg'd. I'm not worried about disclosing owt as I'm fairly confident I would whole heartedly fail to be even remotely competitive, but what I wouldn't want to do is show up and not be allowed to drive. I wouldn't mind about being DQd, so long as I could go out. QUOTE Modified does not need a reverse and road-going needs a reverse So I could go in G then? But : QUOTE Entrants in classes G and H are reminded that they should hold an MSA Competition logbook for their vehicles Aint got that. Again, I don't want to compete to win, just fancy a go. Quote
samcooke Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Just seen this : QUOTE All cars using an alternative inboard (front) or push-rod system shall not be eligible for roadgoing classes and will re-classified into G or H as appropriate. So I'd have to be in G. Can I be with a V5 rather than an MSA logbook? Quote
samcooke Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 Right. After reading and rereading I'm going to request entry into class G. Do I email competition@wscc.co.uk ? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 QUOTE but what I wouldn't want to do is show up and not be allowed to drive. That will never happen 'onest ............... that would only happen in the event of a major safety issue Sam ............... you shouldn't need an MSA log book as you have a road-going car with tax, MOT and insurance Sorry if all this is seeming to be very confusing at present ...................... trust me after a few events and you experience things at first hand amongst folks, you'll be surprised how easy it all is The WSCC SS will have a class for your car and you will be competitive and strike up some friendships .................. don't fret just yet and please await issue of 2007 SS Championship regs .............. there's still plenty of time Quote
