XTR2Turbo Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I'm trying to carryout a clean install of SBS 2003 onto a dell Poweredge 830 server. Was all going well but when it reboots after copying all the files and starts teh server setup wizard it says no network device found and proceeds no further. If I go into control panel both the onboard adaptor and additional NIC are working and enabled. Any ideas. Perhaps they are not compatible but seems a bit unlikely. I have used what I think are the latest drivers. Thanks David Quote
RJD Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Hi David, Just a shot in the dark. Does it require \ Do you have a network lead plugged into said Network port? Quote
mr-rad Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I think Isa Server needs to be plugged into a hub before it can be installed, SBS may be the same! Edited to say Isa-server also requires 2 network adapters Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 ah good idea. I was installing standalone but will try connecting to a hub. Quote
ChrisG Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Yup, its been over a year since I installed an SBS2003 box but Im pretty sure it needs an active NIC connection to continue. Quote
