domcross Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I bought my 2004 Megablade a few weeks back and it came with a set of Capri RS 13" wheels. Given my absoloute lack of automotive abilities, I can't work out which wheel/tyre options I have I'd like to go for a set of 15" or even 16" wheels for road use and stick some decent rubber on the current 13" wheels for next season's track days as they're not in the best of condition. I've read a few posts, but really can't seem to get my head round what I can and can't fit. Help please Cheers, Dom. Quote

stu999 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Ford fitment. Fit any size you like, but bigger diameter wheels/tyres are likely to spoil the handling of the car, as well as add a sh*tload of weight to it... Width and offset are important. Have a scan of the FAQ section for more details... Quote
JeffC Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 If its a mega blade ( independant detatchable arched )best fit I find is a 7" rim with offset of somewhere around et 20- 24 , Ive tried as low as et 14 and they will catch on heavy bumps on the outer arch on my car. et 37 sit too far in over and look wrong.. wouldnt go for 16" good tyres in the size you will need will be expensive and ride and handling will be compromised as all ready suggested .. In 15" I quite like the Oz rims , they were selling off superleggeras new and not that expensive, think around £60 per rim from memory .. cheap for a good quality light weight rim .. decent tyres will be s fair bit more expensive in 15" than 13" though Quote
scott beeland Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 For a 15" rim I'd deffo look to OZ superleggera and fit a 195/50/15 Toyo T1 R or something like a Stunner Scudo...Neither tyre is expensive and readily available...Also plenty grippy enough for a road tyre Quote
samcooke Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 QUOTE For a 25" rim Presumably for your Range Rover Sport or 'scalade. Quote
domcross Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 Thanks for the sound advice all The 15" Oz Superleggera's look nice, but according to their website link into Performancealloys.com, they're £125 each which is a bit on the steep side given the extensive list of other winter projects. Does anyone know of a cheaper supplier? Cheers, Dom. Quote
