Don't crash............... :durr:  :D

TBH..........Trackday ins will cost you about £200, you'll have at least a £1K XS, you'll not be covered if your engine goes BANG!!!!!

It's unlikley you'll do more than £1200 damage if you do come off (unless your really going Banzi)

Just take it easy and have fun... :t-up:

Does the 200 quid cover several trackdays or a time period?

i've mailed off for a quote to Competition car insurance.

Does it cover my bottle crashing? :p

I used these people when I did the charity day at Honington

http://www.moris.co.uk/

Cost me £80 and they give you no claims if you reuse them.

Online quotes etc, obviously I didnt need to use it so cant comment on the company in the event of making a claim but it certainly give peace of mind.

Just the one I would have thought.

I've always been quoted around the £100 mark, much more than £1000 excess for a car worth around 10k (that's per trackday, not per year).

As a result, I've never bothered.

Adrian flux are only brokers. When renewal time comes along let them know you want a company that does trackday cover.

HIC are pretty good at this and FJ give you a number of trackdays included in the policy.

Alternatively, if you are unfortunate enough to crash in a circuit, tow the car outside, park it nicely near a hedge/lamp post/ etc, job done... I have seen that happen many-a-time...

thanks for the help chaps. The Adrian Flux website has trackday cover mentioned, implying they provide cover, as you say they don't seem to actually provide the cover though. Naughty naughty.

i've emailed them asking why they advertise but don't actually provide cover.

Agree re renewal time too. The Cateringvan boys mentioned that they've 4 trackdays included in their insurance.

As someone else said, AF are brokers, not insurers. If you tell them you want trackday insurance, they'll suggest a policy that includes it. Such a policy is likely to cost more than one that excludes trackdays so unless you've requested it they're unlikely to mention it.

I suspect that not having trackday cover means that one is less likely to suffer from red mist syndrome...

Yes, you'd think though, that as brokers, they would organise cover through an insurance company for you and take their cut.

I have insured my mega-busa with Highways Insurance and I am covered for the road and track for £351. per annum.  I am only covered for trackdays and untimed events.  Not for racing.
