Jamie. Sounds like a cracking plan to me. There must be room for another quality trackday company out there. Top class marketing and "something different" is the key to success

We did some research on this two years ago. Back then we looked at the 6 biggest trackday companies and reckoned that there were about 20,000 active trackday participants - we had expected a far higher number.

Good luck!

Bhouse sounds on the right track and its how I'd do it : See how many companies are operating, number of track days they run, what they charge etc-  Try and get a figure for how well they are booked by ringing a few at the last minute to see if they are sold out, can you get discounts ??

See if you can find how track days have grown over the past few years ( no co's/events).

This should give you an idea of the existing market, how its growing and wether its well satisfied.   Google might help you too, and I 'd look at whats happening abroad. I'd also look at related activites such as race schools to see how they are fairing, and  ring around the motor clubs to see if they seek club days and have problems getting them.

You'll need all that for basic data for your business plan anyway
