nlash Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Pics now uploaded. Also a big thanks to all SS participants throughout this season for making me very welcome at the events and to those who placed business with me, its very much appreciated. I had a great time. There has been some interest in a season CD from a few of you. I can do this no problem but it would be a great help if you know which events you were at, to list the images you would like adding to a collection. If you send me this info in an email, I can then work out a price for you and also I need to know if you would like full res images or lower res suitable for viewing on a screen or sending via email etc. As a guide, a CD with a selection of 1200px images would be in the region of £30-40, depending on the quantity of files. Email a list and i'll confirm this for you. Oh, and whilst you are browsing, why not order a glamour calendar. A few have done so already and they will be distributed this week. Thanks again, see you at the awards do. Nige Quote
peterg Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Thanks for all your great pics this year Nigel, pity you didn't stay on at Loton for the Sunday and got almost as wet as you did at Ty Croes Quote
cast iron Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Thanks Nige for all the Photos, I will put together a wish list soon (what else am I going to do on a weekend now?) Thank god you have shown me cutting the kerbs and taking a wide line in the wet, Ash would never have spoken to me Quote

peterg Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Here's what you missed Nigel, this is waiting in the queue to the start for our first (and only) timed run on Sunday afternoon, the wait was because the double drive car in our class which went up as the last car in the previous batch had done a 720 degree spin through 2" of standing water on the finish line Quote
nlash Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 Looks like lovely weather! Glad I was at home watching quite a reasonable GP for a change. decent pic, did you take that Pete? Quote
Asterix Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Here's what you missed Nigel, this is waiting in the queue to the start for our first (and only) timed run on Sunday afternoon, the wait was because the double drive car in our class which went up as the last car in the previous batch had done a 720 degree spin through 2" of standing water on the finish line Didn't realise that stars like Sonia, 1993 UK Eurovision representative, frequented sprinting meets. "stars" was ironic, btw Quote
peterg Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Hi Nige, no I didn't take the pic as I'm sitting in the car under another umbrella. It was taken by my mate and erstwhile pictures editor for the (Brum) Express & Star newspaper (and originally a snapper for them) Tony Adams who competes in the class above mine, he's now retired after 39 years there and is doing 'PR'. -> Asterix, she won't thank you for that Quote
nlash Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 Aah yes, I know Tony, nice chap and of course your sat in the car, dooh Quote
Mark Stanton Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Peter you're so good to Mrs G.............. spoil her with an unbrella why don't ya Quote
peterg Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Yep, umbrella and new Aldi waterproofs (£7.99) I spoil her I really do Quote
adhawkins Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I went looking for some of them, but they'd all gone... They any good? Andy Quote
peterg Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Only problem I had was that they're 'cycling' waterproofs and therfore they assume you've only got lycra shorts on underneath so I had to buy ones at least a size bigger than normal as otherwise they wouldn't go over jeans/overalls etc quite well put together but put them on then put your shoes on or you'll never get your foot through as it sticks to the linings Quote
adhawkins Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Ok. That (the fact that they're not expected to be worn over something) was one of my queries. I've currently got a pair (well, I did, can't find them) that just slip over jeans, and can be put on while still wearing shoes too... Might have a look around for another pair perhaps. Andy Quote
