cast iron Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hi everyone who has made this another closely faught and truly amazing speed series year Loton park was an excellent weekend, a hill I will definitely do again. A big thanks to obviously the class A boys and back stage girls andthe rest To the Mason Twins Ash for his advice (sorry I abused it) to Geoff for the accomodation and to Mr John Boyall - Master Chef without a doubt Totally oblivious I actually won 3rd in 2A on the day so recieved a cool clock tyre wheel trophy thingy I have just got in after marshalling the sunday runs which were cut short due to the extreme weather. I avoided a soaking without the roof and it only took 3 hours to get home. So thanks again to everyone, Well done Smithy, see you all at the awards Quote
peterg Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Well done Mark, commiserations to Ash at not having the weather to beat Ken Evans' class record - you'll get it next year for certain I managed to get TWO of the aforementioned desk clocks each for 2nd in class on Saturday I was beaten by Big Nev by two hundreths of a second despite being over half a second up at the Triangle split (rather too much throttle on the exit being the cause) and on Sunday(ie today) I got second by deed of managing a 71 second run in abysmal conditions which was 'best of the rest' after Chris Aspinall's 64sec rather more committed effort.....still, a prize is a prize To show the sort of problems we had on the one and only timed run we got today, FTD was 62secs on a hill where the outright record is something like a 42 Quote
stewart pickles Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 bad luck mark(bl**** geordie)..........well done mark(bl**** sheep sh??) Quote
MartinH Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Mark, I didn't realise you'd got 3rd in 2A as well that's some achievement. Thank's for the text message it was a nice thought, especially as you must have texted while celebrating. See you in Feb Can we book our bed for Croft 2007 now. Quote
davidgh Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Mark Congratulations on the class win (but, I must admit, after your showing at Croft I was expecting it ) -- and also on taking the Championship down to the wire. Stewart The future direction is clear: Blade for Curborouh, ST170 for Croft Quote
