Al Yupright Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Outrageous team orders from renault!! (only saying what everyone else would say if ferrari did that) Last two races should be good! Quote
detailer Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Yes last 2 races should be very good. Notice how Alonso congratulated schumie on his win. Couldn't see that happening if it had been the other way round. Won't cry when schumacher leaves at the end of the season. Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted October 1, 2006 Author Posted October 1, 2006 Notice how Alonso congratulated schumie on his win. Couldn't see that happening if it had been the other way round. Selective memory me thinks Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Outrageous team orders from renault!! (only saying what everyone else would say if ferrari did that) Last two races should be good! I agree! F1 is a team sport, yes, but IMHO it should not include one member deliberately holding up an opponent like that. I am a full member of the Schumacher Knocking Company but he won that race fair and square despite being sinned against and not sinning himself - for once. Quote
BuGsBuNnY Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Well done to the man! A great show from the master of F1! Team orders? Of course none exist at any team other than Ferrari wouldn't you know... Quote
V 8 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Shame he's not British aswell, then we could really slag him off!!! Quote
Rory's Dad Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Really enjoyed the race which I think Renault lost rather than Ferrari won. Was it the RH rear that failed last time. If it was, the wheel nut man on that corner must be feeling rather Despite having moved a van full of stuff down to London this w/e I fully expected to watch the race (recorded) only half awake. Was on the edge of my seat right through the race. Great stuff Rory's Dad Quote
Mark Stanton Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Maybe there's a way to make F1 entertaining again and watch racing cars race Install sprinkler systems at all circuits that are connected to a random time setting Quote
Phil. S Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Yep, cracking race. Can't wait for the last two. Great driving from Schumi, and Alonso. Shame the two of them won't be battling it out next year, though Alonso won't be finishing as many races next year. Good drive from Button too, especially in the last third. Quote
KerryS Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Wonder if MM or Bernie tripped over the power supply to Renault's pit wall monitors Kerry Quote
Asterix Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Wonder if MM or Bernie tripped over the power supply to Renault's pit wall monitors Kerry What with her being French, I'd have thought Michell Mouton would've have avoided tripping over Renaults 4-gang lead. "Ooooooonnnnnne huuuuunnnndddrrredddddd"...well, this time round, anyway. Quote
pistonbroke Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 The fat lady aint singing yet The race was won in the pits "again" Sauerkraut behaved himself because he had every thing to gain I still wonder what he might have tried on with Alonso if he was being lapped ?( quite possible from the way alonso drove in the first stint ) For me the real motor race was for 4 place , what a cracker that was ! Just imagine if that had been for the lead . Button would been a last lap winner and one of the closest finishes ever Quote
matthew h Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Shame the TV director missed a lot of the action and the adverts missed another chunk. Cracking race, can't wait for next w.end. I will have a lie in the following w.end! Quote
robthehungrymonkey Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Damn it! The phone rang and I missed the last couple of laps (which I wasn't too bothered with, as I didn't think it would be that interesting!!!) Quote
