cast iron Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 And now the end is near And so I face my final Hill-climb My Westy friends I’ll say it clear 2.71 seconds needs to be the winning time I’ve driven a season that was full I’ve travelled each and every highway And more much more than this I did it the Westy way Regrets I’ve had a few Pembrey being one to mention I did what I had to do And got wet through without exemption I walked each un-charted course Each careful line along the raceway But more much more than this I did it the Westy way Yes there were times I’m sure you knew When I bit off more than I could drive But through it all even though there is doubt I will face it all and not give the fence a clout I faced it all and I stood tall (had to leave that in ) And did it the Westy way Ive swerved Ive slid and crashed I may have my share of losing and now with my times slashed I find all so amusing To think I did all that; And may I say - not in a shy way, No, oh no not me, I did it my way. For what is the speed series what is it about If not entered then you have naught To be the competition of friends With no needs to make amends The record will show who took the blows And did it the Westy way……..
