Phil. S Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 Roll on Sunday and the TG repeat. Didn't think they were showing any more Top Gear because of Hamster's accident? Andy Quote
day Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 And i was peeeeeed off coz i missed it, i was in the garage workin on the car, lost track of time. Glad i missed it now, sounded RUBBISH Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I sent the wife upstairs to do the ironing and watch corrie while I watched 5G, I think the ironing would have been more entertaining, what waste of an hour Quote
matthew h Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 It was that bad that the wife answered the phone to a cold caller and talked to her for half an hour! I remember reading in the Sunday Times that VBH is seeing one of the top gear producers, so perhaps we watched all the bits top gear rejected! Quote
MAT1800 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 It was truely awfull!! I wondered if Tiff had decided to leave after realising how bad it was gonna be, hence why they only had the 'pre-recorded' sgements of him??? Is it really that hard to make a decent Car based TV program? And why do they all have to try and copy TG ? I won't be bothering watching that again in a hurry! Quote
robthehungrymonkey Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 How bad can it get?!? Though, to be honest, I thought the last series was just as bad (though I don't mind Jason Plato to much). Tim Lovejoy is nowhere near as bad on the other programmes i've seen him on, what the hell was he doing!!!! Quote
Ian Podmore Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I think all of your comments are being too kind to 5th Gear. I struggled open mouthed at the most awful motoring programme I have ever seen. It was a disgrace. VBH and nice but Tim staring directly at the camera in front of them whilst talking to each other...... That bl**** mobile disco thing..... The plane versus car thing..... the Tiff worshipping...... The crushed Golf..... Quote
slippy Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I used to quite like 5th gear as an alternative to Top Gear as they actually tested cars but they seem to have lost the plot trying to emulate TG and that Vroom Vroom programme on Sky and what the devil is Tim 'I'm a smarmey nunney' Lovejoy doing on a car show ? What next Quote
steve_m Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 So, who's going to watch it next week ? Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Sorry I will be having my nuts removed with pliers next monday @ 8 Buzz Quote

Gromit Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 i`ll have to what it to see if it really was as bad as people are saying. Quote
pistonbroke2 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I Taped the programme and must dissagree with all youre nasty and neggy comments. It was 10 times worse than that. Bring back Songs of Praise. at least you slept through some fine lullaby,s without that awfull womans constant natterery ramblings. Quote
