Eccentric_Rich Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 If I was fitting a diesel engine in a Westfield (not that I would) the Ford 1.8TD would be the last on my list. I sit behind one for a couple of hours a day and it's an absolute turd of an engine - incredibly coarse, unresponsive (even for a diesel) and extremely heavy. If diesel's your thing a much more modern design has got to be the way to go. Richard. Quote

markboyce Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 QUOTE Chipped VAG TDi in a XTR4........... Someone has to do it. I am working hard on a mate who's k-series has gee'd in his elise.. Good chance of getting him to convert to veggie oil based on the nightmare he is having getting his k to keep its oil and water in its correct place Quote
rogerman Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 in reply to eccentric rich .far from it my diesel for not been unresponsive far from it l take on a lot of cars l had petrol westfields l had bike westfield this westfield is fast with rolling weight of 540 k the power to weight will tell its got to be fast l no you can get a newer engines and that may one thing for the next car you can have a go mate and see what you think paul of wakefield Quote
