Mrs Westy Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 More records for the WSCC's own stig, Prescott on Saturday and the new Curborough 3-lapper on Sunday; wiping out the target record* by over half a second on his first run. Oh how everyone else in the class was thrilled *calculated from existing 1 and 2 lap records. Well done Mr M Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Indeed, well done Mr Stig. PS - Top Gear have it wrong. They say that some say that the Stig has the skin of a dolphin. Obviously they have not seen you with no helmet as we have! Quote
peterg Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Well done Mr Stig! What was Ash's time at Prescott? Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I think approx 0.5 faster than his previous record. Are you wooried Pete? Is he getting too close to orange single seater times? Quote
peterg Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Noooo, I just wanted to let the Blatchat guys know to wind 'em up a bit personally I've never got on with Prescott so he may well have beaten my best as it's been three years since I competed there and I was still learning the car then (actually I still am)...and the er, 'atmosphere' can put people off too (it's my wife's least favourite venue) Quote
Arm Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 45.89 sec Pete That was running Nat B spec, so with windscreen and wipers/ wiper motor. Quote
Gazza Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Congrats to Ash - it was great to see! My son video'd you and the R500 for about 80% of the course from a good vantage point. I was there at Prescott for the first time - fabulous venue (helped by beaut weather), very friendly & helpful Bugatti club members that seemed to welcome newcomers in actual fact. Pleased to get close to the 48's with the old Xflow too Its a must-do event, but shhh.... don't tell everybody or it'll be even harder to get an entry. Roll on next season .... Quote
Arm Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Gazza Sorry we didn't get chance to chat. Whole day was a bit of a blur. Please hang onto the video I would like to see it. (I thought the run was a bit scrappy) Quote
Gazza Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Yep - the day sure flies by, Ash I think i may have asked you where the scrutes were at 9am, but that was the last chance to chat - I seemed to be jogging up to the top of the course every 20mins to checkout the video evidence that my 'crew' were taking, plus checking-out the other competitors Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Exackerrlee how big is your cabinet Mr M any room left Well done Quote
peterg Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Phew, just checked back and best time 3 years ago was 45.10 with Orchard speed of 82mph - I remember seeing Adam Fleetwood go round there at 114mph Quote
stu.graham Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Well done Ash, another record breaking weekend in the Mason camp Cant be that more to go for is there? Do you fancy a move to Class H Quote
