cat and fiddle road ?

think ive just been over the cat and fiddle road  ???  :cool: picked up a car in macclesfield tonight and headed over some canny impressive roads satnav took me through  through Glossop and other villiages  and  headed back towards Sheffield and up the M1 home ..

that is a very nice road with  some cracking corners and was fun even in a diesel X5 would be mint on a bike or even better in the westy   :cool:  :t-up:  

am  almost jealous if the Manchester boys with that road on the doorstep   :D  :D  :D

did see alot of repairs in the dry stone walls though  :(  :(  :0  :0

Glossop to the the M1 / Sheffield could be the A57 AKA the 'Snake pass' did you pass ladybower resevoir??

think so saw a load of water on my right  :D   but was stuck behind a bl**** wagon so didnt get to enjoy that bit  :mad:  :mad:  :mad:

plus was dark time I was coming home..

checked car parks in the pubs for westys but never saw any  :D

cat an fiddle has the highest pub in the world at the top

well derbyshire , used as setting for some  double glazing adds,  on telly at one time by some geezer celeb.

If yer ever saw the adds , that is , can't remeber his name  ???

Jeff the Cat and Fiddle is the A537 from Macclesfield (did you see the signs to Hurdsfield)  :D  to Buxton, then on to Glossop and the A57 to Sheffield  :t-up:

Your wrong there I'm afraid Bernie. :p  The highest inn is Tan Hill and it was Everest double glazing with Ted Moult!! Afterwards they were made to take it all out due to not getting planning permission :angry:

Yea!  but Tan Hill isn't in Derbyshire and nobody ever heard of it anyway.  :arse:
