adhawkins Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Already done that mate. Waiting for reply but am aware that Mark has a busy "real" life so not pushing things. Ok, cool. Haven't seen much of him on here recently, so he could well be 'away'. Andy Quote
ACW Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Scott, I Personally think its a great idea. It think it would need to be all proceeds to charity for all those bits lying around the garage. However, ' and this is the sad bit' i'd like to make it available to all, but how would we police it ? Scott - email me your thoughts. I've always been keen on sponsoring air ambulances as I'm certain one day I'll need them. Its a travesty that they arent government funded. I live near the local air ambulance and to say they are busy and heavily utilised is an understatement. as I understand it virtually all serious conditions and trauma, your outcomes are very dependind on the time it takes you to get to hospital facilities. The trama facilities at hostpital is getting really good, its just a shame the tax payer at large doesnt contribute to getting people to those facilities in time. Quote
jak Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I've e-mailed Mark about us supporting the Air ambulances nationally, perhaps by fund raising locally. Still no response though, although I appreciate he like the rest of us as a job/family/social life too . John Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 PM's received, personally, if you wish to support a fine worthy cause such as Air Ambulance, for me it's all credit to those that wish to donate and put time into such a worthwhile cause. Good Luck raise plenty they're in need of every penny. If you're asking me as Club Chairman, then it needs full backing of all committee and if you wish to use the club name or website and all committee need to be e-mailed ............. I do not wish to sound negative, but honestly, I don't know what formally needs to be in place to register charitable donations ? others do it so it sure is possible. If there's anyone with experience in such things please shout. From a personal point whilst I would fully support Air Ambulance charitable events and wish everyone well and hoping that many thousands are raised, with everything else thats going on at present to organise (work and club stuff) I quite simply do not have the time to put into organising this particular matter. Good Luck, here's hoping as much as possible can be raised. Quote
