spence Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I use McAfee works well. Always seemed to have problems with Norton. Always wait for PC World to do a deal at £24.99 rather than £50. If you Do use Norton MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE OLD VERSION BEFORE UPGRADING. C****D my computer up twice before by not removing everything of the old version. Norton on deal at PC World at the moment £24.99. When this deal runs out McAfee usually goes on a deal, so i have found. Quote

deano.1 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I vote Zone alarm and AVG too, Win XP firewall is ok at stopping things getting in but it doesnt stop programs on you computer from accessing the net without your knowledge! Quote

DerekJ Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I use AVG too and for free software it's great!. If you run XP you can use the native firewall. If not Zone Alarm' just as good, but the free versiopn is a little tricky to set up. Free... I Like Free stuff. Quote
