I wonder if someone could advise:

I've just completed a Sport 2000 kit and have booked SVA. I want to take the car for an MOT to check emmissions, headlamp height etc before SVA - can I drive an unregisterd vehicle to and from a booked MOT?

Thanks

Oh, and my membership cheque has gone in the post today!!!

Yes you can. It's only AFTER SVA and before you get registration that you're ot supposed to drive it.

As far as I know!

You can drive to a prebooked MoT as long as you have the car insured.I would ask them not to enter the car details into computer i.e chassis number as this may go onto the DVLA MoT data base and then next year it will have to a MoT instead of 3 years after registration.

Unless you get stopped on the way home of course...
