DavidC Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 to today's Malaysian GP - well worth getting up early for . Rossi V Capirossi is always a joy to watch, and Pedrosa deserves either a medal or a straight jacket for getting on the podium with an injury like that. I just hope he hasn't made it any worse as they've got Philip Island and Motegi over the next 14 days.....not giving himself much time to heal. Rossi finishing 9 places and 19 seconds ahead of the next placed Yamaha just shows how much class he has. Four more races left, 25 points for a win and 26 points covering the top 3 in the standings. Bring on Philip Island next week, it should be a stonker. DC Quote
Richgm Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 A great last couple of laps. Thought Rossi had blown it starting the last lap nearly three quarters of a second down, but I suppose thats why he's been world champ so many times. Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 It was the' clash of the Titans'.. really enjoyed the race and well done to the giant midget for getting his bike home to 3rd in his condition... top ride!! just wish the git would smile more Buzz Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I watched last evening (recorded 'cos of the Renault event at Donington) and once again it highlights how tedious F1 is. For what it's worth, too, Rossi shows how it is possible to be a regular winner and not to be universally hated. Quote
peter pan Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 The first part of the race `looked' fairly tame, if one can call 190mph tame! and if one can forget that Pedrosa was riding with a substantial wallop of pain killers to counter the effects of his earlier incident. But as usual the last few laps had me out of my seat. There is more action packed into any two corners of the moto GP (and the world and British Superbike series) than an entire Grand Prix. It would appear that Valentino Rossi`s bike didnt quite have the grunt of Loris Capirossi`s Ducati, but as usual Rossi just watches and waits to see where his chances lie, and makes stunning use of the information gained. Every single one of those riders (even the ones at the back) are incredible at what they do. Quote
simple Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Taking this one stage further, I watched some of the Irish road racing championships on Sky or whatever the other day. That's properly mental. Cheers Rich Quote
