Gavin Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 If anyone is intrested in a cheap fun day out we have booked Curborough for the Northants area on Thursday 14th of this month. I have two spaces left due to insuficcient numbers in the area and would like to make it up to 10 cars in order to keep the cost as quoted to those allready booked. The cost is only £41 for the day and that will include as many laps as you can fit in between 10 and 5, with only 10 cars maximum you will be sure of plenty of laps and during the hour lunch break we will have a willing person to do a chip shop run for us too. If you would like any more info or would like to come along please call me on 07833653548 ASAP. Please note that this will be first come first served and if you agree to come it will be rain or shine and if you cancell last minute I would still expect you to pay your share to stop the cost rising for other members. KerryS Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Damn - got a meeting in London that day Kerry Quote
Phil. S Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 OK, real numpty question : Does the sprint curcuit form a closed loop like a standard track, or would this be like a sprint meeting, but with loads of runs? Quote
KerryS Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Either! Sprints can be one, two or even three I believe trips round the loop. See Track plan Kerry Quote
Gavin Posted September 7, 2006 Author Posted September 7, 2006 We ussually do two loops of the circuit as one session then back to the que for another go. Lots of fun Quote

jak Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hi Gavin, Got you let me have some contact details/ useful info, as a few of us from Nott's/ Derby area are thinking of doing the same thing. Cheers, John. Quote
adhawkins Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Can I have them too? Might see if our AO (Chelt / Glos) is interested too. Andy Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 When you enter Curborough look at sign board or check out the website you will find contact details for David Pattison - he's the man to e-mail to find out track availability and details. Track is available for hire midweek - 10 cars max all day 5 cars max for half day hire For private non-competitive use only, no timing allowed when hiring cicuit it is always advisable to undertake SDCC own insurance. Track sessions should also have a SDCC member in attendance Quote
adhawkins Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Presumably this £41 included the insurance, so you're looking at total costs of less than 500 quid for the day? By 'SDCC Member' I assume that you mean it's a member that should be hiring the circuit, and not that a member of their 'committee' (or whatever) needs to be present? Andy Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 £41 x 10 = £410 Don't know if that includes insurance Presume is a dangerous word Mr H By SDCC member in attendance....... I mean a SDCC member should be in attendance. If I meant a SDCC member should be responsibe for hiring circuit then I would have writted that If I meant a SDCC Committee Member.... I would also have wroted that as well as But I actually meant a SDCC member should be in attendance ............. which is what I did writ Hope thats clearer for ya Quote
adhawkins Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 As mud. Helpful (as ever) Mr. S. Andy Quote
