Barry Ashcroft Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Lou has never watched any of them and Sky are showing all the eposides back to back including episodes 1,2,3 in HD I have 4,5,6 on DVD we can watch before the HD showings start in two weeks time. Quote
westfield_bumble Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Think it should be the way that it was released. 4, 5, 6 etc. QUOTE Lou has never watched any of them wheres lou been hiding all these years. Scott Quote
adhawkins Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I disagree. I was planning to find time to watch them all in 'chronological' order. A local cinema showed all 6 just after the Episode 3 came out, but they did them in release order which just sounded a bit daft to me. Andy Quote

neilb Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 wheres lou been hiding all these years. In the kitchen where she belongs Take it she does not read this then...456 and leave it at that Quote
jedi Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 from a story point of view it should be 1 to 6 as it was originally meant to be, it was only budget constraint that made them start from 4 (star wars) at least that way they had an ending Quote

Guest Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I'd just watch the originals and leave it at that. Quote
Bluerallye Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 You could get away with ditching 1&2.....3,4,5 & 6 are a must and i'd watch them in order. Quote
MAT1800 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I had to get the DVD's out this weekend after the constant adverts on Sky, Only managed 4 & 5 tho'. I recon you should watch them in the 456, 123 order, they may be 'chronologically' out of order, IMO though, that's the order they should be viewed... It's a bit like a tarantino movie, it doesn't have to follow a strict timeline, just make sense in the end. Shame EP1 is soooo lame... I wanted to get the original theatrical releases on DVD (only for sale until Xmas apparently) but with EP 4,5 & 6 (both the original and New releases) already on VHS. Episodes 123 and 456 'new release' on DVD, perhaps I'm over doing it a bit... I must get around to getting that display cabinet for my Star wars lego... (I'm not that sad really... Honest) ****** Just to add, the whole, Darth Vader: "Luke I am your father" reveal... the most important point in many 30ish people lives.. would be ruined if you didn't watch them 456,123 ... so I rest my case! ****** Quote
studbuckle Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I'd go for a true timeline for a noob like Lou. i.e. 1-6 She's less likely to get confused by Episode 1 then. Quote
Doug D. Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Definitely ditch 1 & 2 and watch 3 4 5 6 in that order Quote
