scott beeland Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Tried to get on Steve Irwins/Australia Zoo site to post my condolences...But it'd down due to weight of e traffic. That guy alone must have done more than anyone else on the planet towards the cause of re educating people away from the persecution and destruction of so called "killer" animals. A huge loss to conservation. Hopefully his work will be continued by the team; but I doubt anyone will ever fill his shoes Quote

wipper Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Been to the Barrier Reef where Steve died and had to avoid stingrays ourselves! A very sad day and a guy who'll be missed throughout the world. No one quite had the enthusiasm or passion, Irreplaceable. Quote
