a4drk Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I am thinking of buying these speakers for the front doors of my BMW. (Hertz DSK 165) They are £70 a pair from Raysmith in Edinburgh. They look really good quality - well put together & sound really good in the stand..... "Hertz" are an Italian company & they are made in Italy. The guy in the shop highly recommends them out of all the other makes he sells - Alpine, Pioneer, Focal, Sony etc.... (But not as good as Rainbow) but then again half the price of Rainbow..... Has anyone heard of this make? David Quote
scott beeland Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 JBL is what you should be after Quote
a4drk Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 The bloke sells JBL too & recommends these over them. I'm going to go for the JBL GTO 4 channel amp at £80 inc p&P off ebay I've had a JBL amp before & it was good. For what i want, it's pointless & a waste of money spending £250+ on an amp that i probably wont hear the difference.. Quote
scruffythefirst Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Have you heard of the amp challenge? Basically someone has put a $10k prize up for anyone who can tell the difference between 2 amps, there are rules but only to level the playing field wrt distortion etc. Get the rainbows, you know it makes sense Quote
